2011 Porsche 911 GT3 Wallpaper - The curtain has been lifted on the new 911 GT3 Cup race car as it makes its way to the 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship in just a few months. This racer is especially fantastic because it has been based on the 911 GT3 RS road car for the very first time.

Powering this mega machine is a rear-mounted 3.8-liter six-cylinder horizontally-opposed power unit that develops 450 HP and is mated to a sequential six-speed manual gearbox and limited slip differential. This is a 30hp jump from the previous model thanks to the borrowed engine from the GT3 RS.

Whereas the engine setup is identical to that of the GT3 RS, the weight of the 911 GT3 Cup takes a turn to the south with a 170kg drop. This means that the GT3 Cup tips the scales at 1200kg, leaving the race car with the added performance it needs for the track.

The exterior of the vehicle is race modified with a front spoiler lip that is 15 millimeters lower than the GT3 RS and a rear wing that is now 1.70 meters, up from the original 1.46 meters. The rear wing is also mounted higher to resemble that of the 911 GT3 R raced in the FIA GT3 series. Three-piece light-alloy rims measuring 9.5 J x 18 (previously 9 J x 18) and running on 24/64-18 Michelin racing tires have been housed in the wider front wheel arches and flared wheel housings. 2011 Chevrolet Volt Picture and Wallpaper - The Chevrolet Volt has been the center of news recently and to be honest, we’re a bit tired of it. Alas, one more piece of news has just come to the surface. It seems that owners of the Volt, after they have traveled the 40 miles or so on the electric batteries, will need to fill their cars up with premium petrol.

That’s right, premium. Drivers must pay at the pump in order to be a part of this Earth saving movement. So, not only are you paying a massive amount for the car itself, you are paying more at the pump. It seems odd to us that the small 1.4-liter 80 horsepower motor would need the high-grade juice, but we’re sure there’s a reason.

Really though, is this a big deal? Premium petrol isn’t all that much more and it shouldn’t cost owners that much extra to fill the car up. Not to mention you won’t have to visit the petrol stations that often, hence the reason for the Volt.

The 2010 Cadillac SRX is designed for efficient performance, including the choice of two high-tech six-cylinder engines that are new to Cadillac. A new, 3.0L direct injected and E85 capable V6 engine is standard and a new, 2.8L turbocharged V6 is optional. Both engines employ technology that helps produce strong performance that is typical of larger-displacement engines. Direct injection enables a 25-percent reduction in hydrocarbon emissions. Fuel economy in the mid-20s on the highway is expected, but testing isn't yet complete.
